LED High Mast Lighting Family Reaches 30 Metre Installations With 20kV Surge Protection
Fins board has expanded its LED high mast lighting family for masts up to 30 metres, aimed at ports, airports, rail yards and logistics terminals where lighting must stay reliable under wind, salt and electrical transients. The range pairs a low drag housing with a 20kV surge module and a documented wind load rating.
Output ranges from 400W to 1500W with narrow and wide asymmetric distributions, allowing a designer to combine area coverage and long throw on the same mast ring. A rear aiming scale and lockable collar hold position after service visits, an important detail on terminals where a two degree drift changes uniformity across a container stack.
The housing uses a pressure die-cast body with 4mm mounting ribs and stainless fasteners, and drag coefficients are supplied for structural calculation. Electrically, the luminaire accepts 200 to 480 volts, includes a thermal derating circuit and holds flicker below one percent, so terminal operators can add camera based container recognition systems without seeing banding on video feeds.
For operators replacing lamp based high mast systems, the practical change is maintenance planning. A 100000 hour rated luminaire removes most planned lamp changes from a twenty year cycle, and because drivers unplug from the front of the housing, the remaining interventions can be scheduled into existing mast inspection visits rather than treated as separate lane or berth closures.

Structural load data sheets, aiming tables and photometric files are provided for mast engineers and electrical contractors. Units are aged and hipot tested before shipment, with replacement drivers and lenses held in stock for the warranty term.
About the manufacturer: Fins board and BOCAQ branded lighting products are produced in Guangdong, China, by a team focused on outdoor and hazardous area luminaires for contractors, distributors and engineering firms. The company supports projects with measured photometric files, structural load data, certification documentation and spare part programmes, and it exports across North America, Europe, the Middle East and Southeast Asia through a distributor and project channel model.
